More Cute Pictures

The boys at Chris and Gena's house last weekend.

The boys kissing on Ellodie.

This is the coolest picture ever! It is one of my brother's friends

snorkeling in Dominica when he encountered a whale!

Sweet baby girl sleeping.

Boys cleaning up at the end of the day.

Look at that water, yuk!

Ellodie, always happy!

A dino mountain made by Ben and his friend John. John likes things to be "in order".

Hiding under the deck.

Buring Ben in the sand at the park.

Buring Chars in the sand at park!

Going for a walk with the boys.

Super-Ellodie

Ellodie has started talking to me all the time. She just makes noises constantly that sound like she is trying to have a conversation with me! I love it and tried to record her doing it the other day but the boys were home and things quickly degenerated into them making ridiculous jokes about her. They were calling her Super-Ellodie and then eventually they were calling her pooper-Ellodie and laughing at themselves.....Well I will just post the video but it is a long one!

Guys for Fighing Game

The boys came up with a new game today that Ben calls "Guys for Fighting". I got them some medieval maces made of foam at the dollar store and they started the game just hitting each other with those. The game evolved when they both put on their spider man shirts and Ben, as usual these days, put on his spider man mask. Now they were clubbing each other and throwing target plastic bags at each other. See, the bags are the webs that they make when they are spider man! THEEEEN, Ben found his dad's "fiji" beer koozies that I set out in hopes to finally get rid of and they began to use them as boxing gloves. Here are some pics of them playing guys for fighting in the kitchen.

Chars with the beer koozie boxing gloves.

The game continued when Scott got home and here they are playing in the back yard.

Justin Beaver

This is a picture of my dining room chair. These are the chairs I got for mother's day last year, which pale in comparison to having the laundry done buuut... I do still like them and would like to keep them for a while. I know it is difficult to see this, but there are clearly teeth marks all along the top of the chair.

I first noticed someone had been gnawing on the chair yesterday. Chars was still asleep so I asked Ben what on earth happened to the top of that chair. He told me that it looked like a beaver had been chewing on the chair. Then he told me it was probably the beaver that lived in our house named Justin. Now, a long time ago he was with me when some girls down the street were talking about Justin Bieber. Much like Micheal Jackson, he formed his own opinion of Justin Bieber in his little mind and apparently he heard the name "Justin Beaver" and went with it. I guess he thinks that he is a beaver that sings, dances, and sneaks in your home and chews on your furniture. It took me a minute when he first told me to get it. I said "Justin the beaver" and he said "yes mom, Justin Beaver, you know him". I seriously nearly peed my pants I was laughing so hard. He really makes me laugh harder than just about anyone I have ever known!

Thank you Grandma Barbara

Here is a video of the Boys with their new easter toys from my Grandma Barbara! They love these singing ducks so much that I hear the song "raindrops keep falling on my head" in my sleep!!

Mother's Day

We had a great mother's day this year. The plan was to do what I wanted as the mom and I wanted to do nothing! I just wanted to hang out at home and snuggle with my kids while Scott did 1,000 loads of laundry! I do love that Scott took me literally when I said "seriously, all I want for mothers day is for this laundry to be done!" I was going for drama, making an over-the-top statement so that everyone would know I hated doing the laundry, but in fact it worked so well that Scott felt he did not need to get me a gift because he did the greatest thing of all.....the laundry!

Here is how Ellodie spent her day....She seriously sat and stared at the orchid Scott got his mother for at least 45 minutes. She was mesmerized!!

Later that day we went to Uncle CW's house for dinner. Scott gave Gigi the orchid and the boys gave her the "craft project" they painted her with Scott and finally Gigi gave us the most wonderful angel food ever. I mean it was so fluffy and full of air. It rose so beautifully in the oven that it was like eating a cloud. Here it is!

I believe the term "hockey puck" has been used in the past when describing another of Gigi's baking mishaps! WE LOVE GIGI!!!

Little superheros!

Honestly I think Ben is sooo funny! He woke up at 5:30 in the morning and ran into our room frantic! He was saying over and over "Mom, I have been waiting all week to wear my spider-man costume, can I PLEEEEEAZZZE put it on!" There was such desperation in his voice. After I woke up for a second I told him that first of all that this was the first I had ever heard of him wanting to wear that costume and second of all his claims of waiting "all week" to wear it were ironic since it was only Monday morning! I was so dang tired so Scott got up and got the costume and went downstairs with him. This is what I saw when I came downstairs, he was watching cartoons and waiting for me to make his breakfast.

All of this excitement before 6 am and more importantly before my coffee! Naturally when charlie got up, hours later, he wanted to wear his batman costume.

We were ready to go to the YMCA, like every Monday but they insisted on the costumes, so what the hay!

In a strange twist, Charlie decided to add dinosaur house shoes to his hands.

When we got to the Y, Charlie walked on his Dinosaur house shoe hands and his feet all the way across the parking lot while I yelled at him to stand up so that a car didn't hit him. He was just going too slowly on all 4 and I was trying to carry Ellodie's 50# car seat and a diaper bag. Ben agree to take off his mask so that the sitters would know "who's kid I am".

When we got home Kari came over with her little dog named Sophie. Here are pics of them playing with her in the front yard.

Ben slept in that costume! When I left for work the next morning Scott was arguing with him about putting normal clothes on. He explained that even Peter Parker wore real clothes when he went to school and that the costume was for crime fighting! Ben was cool with that.

Ben has been asking me the last few days where he can buy Spider senses, do they sell them at toys r us?

Rainy Day

5/1/11

Today was a rainy and cold day! Scott had to get up REALLY early to work the okc marathon and then he a a Thunder playoff game right after that so he was going to be gone all day. The whole city is excited about the Thunder playoff games and Chars has heard so much about it that every time it thundered outside today he smiled really big and said "I hear the Thunder game!" When we got up, Scott was already gone. Chars had a birthday present from his cousin Carter that had just arrived, so he opened it first thing this morning.

It was leaf blower/bubble blower. He loves it but he could only try it out today because of the weather.

We decided to do craft projects this morning since we couldn't go outside. Here is Ellodie helping me get the hot glue gun set up.

We decided on making pet rocks. Here we are painting them.

Here they are. We made 3. Ellodie's, Ben's, and Char's in that order.

Then we decided to make something out of old socks. Here they are.

Scott got home and Ellodie and I were asleep on the couch. The boys were watching some dino cartoon. It was a really great day!
